Kargil: The Joint Director and Chief Controller Finance (JD/CCF), LAHDC Kargil, Iftikhar Hussain, chaired a review meeting on Tuesday to assess the progress of public welfare schemes and subsidy-linked units sanctioned for the financial year 2025–26.
The meeting witnessed participation from key district officials including the Joint Director/Chief Planning Officer Kargil, District Programme Officer Kargil, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Chief Education Officer, Chief Horticulture Officer, Project Director KREDA, District Sheep Husbandry Officer, Deputy Registrar Cooperative Societies, Assistant Directors of Tourism and Handicrafts, Superintendent Handloom, and the Accounts Officer of DC Office Kargil, among others.
The JD/CCF conducted a department-wise review of schemes approved under the subsidy component and emphasized the need for accelerated implementation. He instructed all executing agencies to initiate the tendering process and ensure the procurement of required materials by the end of July to prevent delays in project execution.
Reiterating the commitment of LAHDC Kargil to timely and effective delivery of public benefit programmes, Iftikhar Hussain called for coordinated efforts across departments to ensure the success of schemes aimed at the socio-economic upliftment of the district.
