Kargil: A grand Janbhagidari Abhiyan awareness and outreach camp was successfully held today at the Block Development Office (BDO), Shargole, witnessing enthusiastic participation from local villagers, women, and youth.
The camp was organized as part of the nationwide Janbhagidari Abhiyan, aimed at promoting public awareness and participation in key government schemes and welfare initiatives.
The event brought together representatives from over 15 line departments, along with the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS), to deliver services and spread awareness under one roof.
During the camp, special emphasis was placed on flagship schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY), Supplementary Nutrition Programme (SNP), and Pre-school Education. Awareness sessions were conducted to inform beneficiaries—particularly women—about the benefits, eligibility, and application procedures of these programs.
Villagers engaged directly with officials, clearing doubts, submitting forms, and availing on-the-spot services. The initiative aimed to ensure last-mile delivery of welfare services and empower citizens through participatory governance.
