Kargil: Chairman of Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), A.S. Sahney, accompanied by the Chief General Manager, visited Kargil and engaged with officials, employees, and community representatives during a formal interaction at the IOCL Depot Kargil.
He was warmly received by Depot Manager and staff, and accorded a traditional welcome by members of Team Stringmo and students of PM Shri Government Model High School, Lankoor. The occasion also featured a Guard of Honour by the IOCL security personnel.
During the visit, Sahney was briefed on Kargil’s rich cultural heritage, the historic significance of the 1999 Kargil War, and the achievements of the depot in serving the region. He commended the dedication of the depot staff, the energy of the students, and the work of Team Stringmo in promoting education, art, and women’s empowerment, reaffirming IOCL’s commitment to continued engagement and development in the area.
As a gesture of goodwill, Team Stringmo presented him with a specially crafted painting, symbolising appreciation and friendship.
