Leh: ICICI Foundation donated sports and medical equipment to University of Ladakh, Leh Campus.
In this connection a formal programme was held at the Leh Campus, in which Dr Thinles Nurboo, Development Officer, ICICI Foundation handed over the sports and medical equipment to Vice Chancellor, University of Ladakh, Prof. S. K. Mehta in the presence of Dr Jigmat Dachen, Dean Students Welfare, UoL.
Delegates from the ICICI Foundation, delegates from the ICICI Banks, faculty members and students of the campus were present during the programme.
In his address Prof. S. K. Mehta extended his gratitude to ICICI Foundation for generously donating the equipment and assure that this will benefit the students community.
Prof. S. K. Mehta and delegates of the ICICI Foundation also inaugurated the Inter-Department Table Tennis Tournament.
In tournament 10 departments of the Leh campus participating in various events (Men’s Single, Women’s Single and Mixed Double Categories).
In women’s Single, Department of Physical Education defeated Department of Political Science by 2-0 scorers and
Department of Forensic Science Department defeated Economic Departments by 2-01 scores.
In men’s Single,Department of Physical Education defeated MTTM Department by 2-1 scores and Department of History defeated Department of Commerce by 2-0 scores. Department of Economic defeated Department of Political Sciences by 2-0 scores.Department of Zoology defeated Department of Mathematics by 2-0 scores.
While in the Mixed Double,Department of Economic defeated Political Science Department by 2-0 scores.
