LEH: The IBEX Colony, led by Goba Sonam Rigzin, hosted a Thanksgiving High Tea to honour the district officials and community members who have significantly contributed to the progress of the colony.

Chairman, CEC Adv. Tashi Gyalson,LAHDC, Leh; SE R&B Division Leh Dorjey Gyatso; CPO Tsewang Gyalson; ACD Leh A.G. Zargar; Honorary Captain, Sonam Morup; PWD, PHE and rural department officials; Block department executive members; community leaders and residents of Ibex Colony were present on the occasion.

The CEC honoured the department workers and community members by presenting them with traditional Khataks as a gesture of appreciation for their dedication and hard work.

This recognition not only celebrated their contributions but also strengthened the bonds between the department and the community, highlighting the importance of collaboration and support in achieving common goals.

During the event, Goba of Ibex Colony Sonam Rigzin delivered a heartfelt speech, emphasizing the pivotal role of district department officials in fostering a sense of family within the community.

He acknowledged the substantial progress made in Ibex Colony, crediting the leadership of all the officials present. He further highlighted the initiatives that have greatly enhanced the quality of life for residents.

Sonam Rigzin extended gratitude to the CEC for his unwavering support and dedication to Ibex Colony. He highlighted the importance of recognizing the hard work of leaders whose initiatives have led to significant improvements.

In his address, the CEC expressed congratulations to Goba Rigzin for his tireless efforts and commitment to societal progress. He emphasized that community growth is a collective effort, acknowledging the vital role played by local micro-public representatives.

The CEC noted that with the transition to Union Territory status, the community faces new expectations and hopes for development and infrastructure improvements. He pledged that the council would work tirelessly to meet these demands, ensuring that every resident benefits from the advancements in public services.

The CEC Gyalson also highlighted the importance of unity and collaboration in achieving shared goals. He spoke about the ongoing initiatives to enhance infrastructure and reiterated the commitment to regularizing these services.

He further highlighted, the council aims to provide the necessary support to uplift the community and ensure a brighter future for all residents.

Chairman, CEC Adv. Tashi Gyalson, LAHDC, Leh called upon by a delegation of prominent community leaders, including Dhupen Deachen Rinpoche, Lama Secretary Tsering Backtok, Lama Rigzin Dorjey, Dr. Dorjey Tsering, and Rinpoche Yab Skarma Gombo.

Nyoma Councillor Ishey Spalzang, Thiksey Councillor Stanzin Chosfail, and nominated Councillor Ven Konchok Tsepel were also present.

The delegation held a general interaction, focused on the restoration of Mahe Gompa and addressed broader concerns regarding the well-being and welfare of the Leh community.

The delegation also expressed their gratitude to the CEC for the previously approved projects, emphasizing their positive impact on the local populace.

The meeting was productive, fostering collaboration aimed at enhancing community welfare and preserving cultural heritage.
