Historical support extended to minority community in Kargil


Kargil: In a significant step towards fostering inclusivity and addressing the needs of minority communities in Kargil, a crucial milestone has been achieved with the establishment of a cremation site for the Buddhist community.

This achievement comes as a result of the unwavering support of three esteemed religious leaders, President Jinab Shiek Nazir Ul mahmadi of Islamia School Kargil, Chairman Jinab Shiek Rajai of Imman Khomani Memorial Trust and chief patron of Anjumma-e- saib zaman Jinab Aga Sayed Mohammad Razvi.

During a privileged meeting with President Jinab Shiek Nazir Ul Mahmadi and Chairman Jinab Shiek Rajai, and Jinab Aga Sayed Mohammad Razvi, heartfelt gratitude was expressed for their steadfast commitment to addressing the minority issue of a cremation site for the Buddhist community in Kargil.

Their recommendations to the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) Kargil and the District Administration played a pivotal role in making this initiative a reality.

Thanks to their advocacy and leadership, the Buddhist community in Kargil now has access to a dignified and respectful final resting place for their departed loved ones.

Beyond the immediate issue, discussions during the meeting centered on addressing pending issues affecting minority communities.

All the esteemed leaders reaffirmed their dedication to fostering harmony and resolving disputes amicably between communities.

This historical support extended to the minority community in Kargil marks a significant milestone in the ongoing journey towards creating a more inclusive and equitable society.
