Hill Council provides subsidised Mountaineering Equipment to local youths
Leh: Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh accompanied by Dy Chairman/EC Youth Services and Sports, Tsering Angchuk distributed Mountaineering Equipment to the local youths actively engaged in mountaineering profession under LAHDC Leh’s subsidy scheme at an event organised at Rock Climbing site, Shey on Wednesday.
They also handed over a financial grant to the association during the event.
DYSSO Leh, Tsering Tashi; CCF LAHDC Leh, Jigmet Namgyal; Private Secretary to the CEC, Jigmet Raftan; AO to DC, Skalzang Chospa, other concerned officials, and members of Ladakh Mountain Guides Association (LMGA) led by President, Skalzang Rigzin were among present during the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Dy Chairman Angchuk congratulated the beneficiaries on receiving the much-needed equipment and mountaineering gears at a nominal and subsidised rate through this initiative of LAHDC Leh.
He informed that the Hill Council, Leh has always been at the forefront of supporting the youths through various initiatives to date.
On behalf of LMGA, President Skalzang Rigzin expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Hill Council, Le led by its Chairman and Dy Chairman for the support provided through this initiative to the local mountaineer’s community.
