Leh: Health Department Leh organised Health Mela under Ayushman Bharat Health and Wellness Centre Urban PHC at Housing Colony Community Hall Tuesday.
The health mela was held with the theme ‘Raising Awareness and Education about Common Cancer’, in the presence of the chief guest Mission Director, National Health Mission, UT Ladakh, Dr Iftikhar Ahmed Chaudhary.
Ayushman Bharat Health Mela would be organised on 14th of every month at Health and Wellness Centres- Primary Health Centres (PHCS) and Sub-Centres (SCs) where various services, including diagnosis, screening, medicines, generation of ABHA (Health IDs), Golden Card and healthcare services would be offered to the public.
Speaking about the new concept of Health Melas, Chief guest Dr Iftikhar Ahmed Chaudhary, urged all the public to avail off the various health services provided during the Health Melas as it aims to raise basic health awareness.
