Leh: To review the necessary arrangements for the upcoming Har-Ghar-Tiranga campaign in Leh town, the Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson made a site visit to the royal courtyard of Leh Palace today. He was accompanied by EC Minority, Ghulam Mehdi, EC Art/Culture, Stanzin Chosphel, EC RDD, Tashi Namgyal Yakzee, and DC Leh, Shrikant Suse.

ADDC Leh, DSP DAR Leh, Municipal Ward Members of Leh town, Xen R&B, DYSSO Leh, AD Tourism Leh, EO MCL, Representatives from Cultural Academy and ASI Leh, also attended the meeting held at Leh Palace today.
Officers of the concerned departments apprised CEC of the status of the delivery of the National Flags to all the regions of the district through the Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) and the involvement of various self-help groups in preparing the flags at the local level.
To begin the campaign, a mass hoisting of the National Flag would begin by hoisting the tricolour from the iconic Leh Palace by the dignitaries in synchronisation with all the households of Leh town hoisting simultaneously on the 13th of August, 2022. The event would be followed by a bicycle rally starting from Namgyal Tsemo till Shanti Stupa, Leh and the officials would hoist the tricolour similarly at the iconic Shanti Stupa as well.
The Har-Ghar-Tiranga is a campaign under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to encourage people to bring the Tiranga (India’s National Flag) home and to hoist it with pride to mark the glorious 75 years of India’s Independence.
