Leh: His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama will participate in a Long Life Offering Ceremony at the Kalachakra Teaching Ground in Padum, Zanskar on July 23.
The ceremony is being jointly organized by the Zanskar Buddhist Association, Zanskar Gonpa Association, and the Karsha Gon Yarchos Chenmo Organising Committee.
This ceremonial prayer is a traditional gesture of devotion and gratitude, offered to ensure the long and healthy life of His Holiness, whose presence continues to be a beacon of compassion and wisdom for the Buddhist community across the Himalayas and beyond.
In a continuation of his spiritual engagements in the region, His Holiness will also deliver a short teaching on Tsongkhapa’s Three Principal Paths (Lamtso Namsum) on July 25.
The teaching, also organized by the same associations, will take place at the Karsha Phodrang (KarGön Palace), a revered spiritual site in Zanskar.
The twin events reflect the deep-rooted faith and spiritual connection between the people of Zanskar and His Holiness, and underscore the region’s role in preserving Tibetan Buddhist heritage.
