Leh: The Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson in the presence of Dy Chairman/EC Education, Tsering Angchuk flagged off the first consignment of the equipment for the establishment of (Digi-Lab) under the LAHDC Leh Digital Learning Scheme. EC Minority, Ghulam Mehdi, Nominated Councillor, Ven Konchok Tsepel, CEO Leh, SD Namgyal, and officials of 17000ft Foundation were also present during the event.
CEC Gyalson briefed about the scheme and further added that the initiative has been started keeping in view the requirement of modern-day technologies in the field of education and learning for the school students of Leh Ladakh. He also added that the Hill Council Leh has initiated this digitization project of setting up Solar Powered Digi-labs in around 27 government schools in Leh district which would bridge the gap in areas without the requisite infrastructure to support digital learning.
CEC Gyalson also stated that LAHDC Leh has partnered with Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) and the 17000 ft Foundation for the implementation of the project. He further added that necessary training would be also conducted in the coming days.
