Leh, December 10: A public outreach camp was organised at the MES Colony Community Hall, Agling, under the “Mimang–Si–sJabstogs – Administration at Your Doorstep” initiative, aimed at delivering government services and welfare schemes directly to residents. The camp was held under the supervision of Nodal Officer Dr. Tundup Namgial, Deputy Director PGF Upshi, Leh.
Nambardars welcomed the visiting officers and expressed gratitude to the district administration for conducting the camp in their locality. Officials from Health, Social Welfare, Revenue, Rural Development, Power Development, Education, Finance, and Employment departments attended the event, offering on-the-spot services, grievance redressal, and information on government schemes.
During the interaction, Nambardars flagged several key civic and developmental concerns, including pending land allotment cases, need for roadside drainage, street lighting, completion of the Ama Tsospaa Office Building, establishment of a medical centre, a children’s park, a ration store, and installation of a 240 kV transformer. They also highlighted the lack of sewerage pipeline connections leading to unhygienic conditions, and the poor condition of internal roads in Urgyanling Gonpa Line Nos. 1, 2 and 3. With nearly 300 households affected, they urged early sanctioning of funds for sewerage pipelines, road blacktopping, and community infrastructure.
Nambardar Thinles Dorjay thanked the PHE Department for achieving 100% coverage under Jal Jeevan Mission and appreciated the Municipal Department for its continued support.
Nodal Officer Dr. Tundup Namgial assured residents that their genuine concerns would be taken up with the concerned departments for timely action. He emphasised that such outreach programmes are crucial for building public trust and strengthening grassroots governance.
