The administration’s “Mimangs-si-Sjabstok” (Administration at Your Doorstep) initiative reached Gonpa Gangles on Saturday, with multiple departments engaging directly with residents to resolve grievances and raise awareness about government schemes.
Nodal Officer and EO MC Leh, Stanzin Rabgais, briefed the public on key initiatives, including 24×7 water connections, Swachh Bharat awareness drives, and the upcoming introduction of electric buses for the area.
Officials from the Medical, Power, Food Supply, Agriculture, Cooperative, Handicrafts, Education, Irrigation & Flood Control, Horticulture, ICDS, Animal Husbandry, Wildlife, Soil Conservation, Labour, and PHE Departments participated, explaining ongoing schemes and services. JK Bank representatives also addressed pension-related concerns, digital fraud, and insurance schemes.
The Education Department highlighted major improvements in government schools since Ladakh became a Union Territory, noting ₹248 crore sanctioned under Samagra Shiksha, distribution of uniforms, tablets, laptops for toppers, and the rollout of smart classrooms under PM SHRI.
Residents actively raised local issues, many of which were resolved on the spot. The Goba also submitted a memorandum listing community concerns.
The camp strengthened public-administration engagement by offering immediate redressal, information dissemination, and access to essential services at the grassroots level.
