GMS Latoo lifts Handball Team Trophy for 10th time
KARGIL: In Ladakh, the Government Middle School of LOC Village Latoo has been showing excellent performance in education as well as Sports from the last 10 years.
The School has won the Handball Team Trophy in the recently concluded Zonal Sports Meet organised by ZPEO Kargil and has been with the school for a decade. The School organised a felicitation ceremony and facilitated the team for winning the trophy.
The School authorities also felicitated its Ex Students Javed Rehan the first Volleyball NIS from Kargil and Ex Student Nasreen Fatima who has been selected as Coach in Table Tennis Khelo India Centre Kargil.
Mohd Ali Sarpanch Halqa Karkitcoo was Cheif Guest on the occasion. Mohd Ali appreciated the Students and pass out students for bringing laurels to the school as well as to the area.
He also presented cash prize to Nasreen Fatima and termed her as a role model for the girls of UT Ladakh.
While talking to the media the Headmaster Mohd Iqbal said that the school has a great support from Ex Students like Javed, Nasreen, Villagers and The teachers which have helped the students to keep the momentum going on.
He also thanked the Indian Army for helping the school in different ways particularly in Sports by creating infrastructure which is also the reason for such a result. During the occasion Uniform worth ₹ 25000 from Staff Members were also distributed among the students.
