Nubra: The Sports Committee of Government Degree College, Nubra, successfully organized its Annual Intramural Sports Competition on the 18th and 19th of April, 2025.
Under the guidance and coaching of the college’s Physical Training Instructor, Mr. Mohd Javed, the event saw enthusiastic participation from students across various disciplines.
The competition featured seven sporting events: archery, shot put, discus throw, 100-meter sprint, roller skating, table tennis and tug of war. Students of the college participated with great energy and sportsmanship, while faculty members also took part in selected event.
The event commenced with an inaugural session graced by the Principal, Dr. Tsewang Motup, who addressed the gathering with an inspiring speech.
He emphasized the crucial role of sports in promoting holistic development, physical fitness, and mental well-being among students. His encouraging words set a positive tone for the two-day event.
Following the address, Dr. Motup officially inaugurated the competition with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The sports meet concluded on the 19th of April with a valedictory session where winners were felicitated with medals and certificates. The ceremony acknowledged the hard work and dedication of all participants.
The event came to a close with vote of thanks delivered by Mohd Javed, expressing gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of the event.
