GDC Kargil organizes traffic awareness program


Kargil: Department of Sports in collaboration with NCC Wing of Government Degree College (GDC) Kargil the other day organized a one-day Traffic Awareness Program aimed at fostering road safety consciousness among the youth.

The event was graced by esteemed dignitaries and saw the participation of approximately 200 NCC and NSS students. Ishtaiq Ahmed Kacho, SP Traffic was present as chief guest while the esteemed presence of Prof. Dr Amina Qari, Principal GDC Kargil was the guest of honour.

The program enlightened the participants about the importance of adhering to traffic rules and also served as a platform to recognize and appreciate the efforts of the youth.

A total of 21 training certificates were distributed to NCC cadets, acknowledging their commitment to enhancing road safety awareness.

The event also celebrated the achievements of 19 students who recently completed the Short-Term Assistant Beauty Therapist course organized by the college. Their dedication and hard work were duly recognized with certificates of completion.

The event was orchestrated with finesse by Mehboob Ali, a student of GDC Kargil, who anchored the proceedings. Murtaza Ali, Associate NCC Officer of GDC, presented welcome speech and the program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Prof. Taira.

The Traffic Awareness Program stands as a testament to the collaborative efforts of the Department of Sports and the NCC Wing of GDC Kargil in nurturing responsible citizens and promoting a safer road culture among the youth.
