“Prefer local artists for the projects & to coordinate with them for necessary actions,” he said while chairing a review meeting at the Council Secretariat, Leh.
Earlier, rxperts from St+art India Foundation gave a detailed presentation on the plan to develop and implement Art & Culture Projects on the few selected building walls, open places etc. in Leh town.
CEC Gyalson directed concerned expert to work on certain observations and issues which were highlighted by the officers and concerned Councillors during the meeting.
He also directed them to consider geographical, cultural and religious sanctity while executing the project. He added to form a committee and finalise the designs.
The meeting was attended by Councillors of Upper and Lower Leh; President MC Leh; Director Urban local bodies; Executive Officer MC Leh and Expert from St-art India Foundation.
