Founder LEHO Foresees Ladakh’s Transformation into India’s Leading Organic UT

Leh: The Founder of Ladakh Environment and Health Organisation (LEHO), Dr. Mohammed Deen has said that Ladakh as a region has a vast potential of becoming the major organic UT in the country.

He said this while speaking at an awareness programme cum training for village representatives on Adoption and Certification of organic farming under Mission Organic Development Initiative of Ladakh organized by Department of Agriculture Leh in collaboration with Sikkim State Organic Certification Agency (SSOCA) at DC Conference Hall today.

The Founder of Ladakh Environment and Health Organisation (LEHO), Dr. Mohammed Deen attended the program as guest speaker.

In his speech, he stressed that reviving agricultural practices is of utmost importance and to bring the decision taken into actions.

Scientist, DIHAR, Dr Tsering Stobdan also briefed about the program with a detailed presentation. He urged farmers to adopt organic farming practices as a sustainable means of livelihood and income generation.

The program was also attended by CAO Leh; DAO Leh; Officers/officials of Agriculture Department and village representatives from various blocks.
