
Forest Department celebrates Environment Day at Photoksar
Leh: On World Environment Day, celebrated worldwide on 5th June, 1500 trees were planted by Forest Department Khaltse at Photoksar village located above 15,000 ft altitude, to raise awareness about environmental protection and sustainability.
A virtual speech was delivered by Chairman, LAHDC Leh, Adv Tashi Gyalson.
The plantation drive was held in the presence of the In Charge Forest Department (Singay Lalok Circle), T Samphel.
J.E Civil 114 RCC, Medical Department, Government School Photoksar, Sarpanch, Goba, and Photoksar villagers participated in the drive.
