Leh: In a meaningful tribute to the 90th Birth Anniversary of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, the Department of Fisheries, Leh organized a cleanliness drive at Sindhu Ghat and Fish Farm, Nubra, as part of the observance of July as the Month of Compassion.
The initiative was aimed at promoting environmental responsibility while spreading the timeless values of compassion, peace, and non-violence—ideals deeply cherished and advocated by His Holiness.
Officers, staff, and field workers of the department participated with enthusiasm and dedication, ensuring thorough cleaning of these important public spaces. Their efforts not only contributed to a cleaner environment but also served as a reminder of the interconnectedness of compassion and care for nature.
