LEH: Chairman, CEC, LAHDC Leh, Advocate Tashi Gyalson, was called on Tuesday Brig J.S Gill and Col S.K Roy (Fire & Fury Corps officers) in the presence of Executive Councillor Tashi Namgyal Yakzee, Administrative Secretary, Vikram Singh Malik, IAS; and Councillor from Nyoma constituency, Ishey Spalzang.
During the meeting, the officials held discussions on various issues concerning border infrastructure and local needs. The officials discussed the veterinary centre at Hanley-Pungog, focusing on staff deployment and the provision of required equipment under LAHDC support.
The officials acknowledged the continued efforts of the Indian Army in supporting infrastructure development in remote areas.
Earlier in the day, the CEC convened a meeting today to deliberate on the recruitment of Physical Education Teachers (PETs) across schools in the district, in the presence of Administrative Secretary, Vikram Singh Malik, IAS.
Also present during the meeting were Additional Secretary, GAD, Rigzin Spalgon (JKAS); OSD to Sports Secretary, Dr. Stanzin Thakchos; District Youth Services & Sports Officer, Tsering Tashi.
Joint Director, Youth Services and Sports, Tahir Hussain Zubdavi and Director School Education Tsering Paldan, joined the meeting virtually.
The officials held a detailed discussion on the shortage of Physical Education Teachers in schools and explored suitable measures to address the issue.
In this regard, the possibility of amending the existing Recruitment Rules (RRs) for PETs was discussed. The proposed amendments aim to establish a more inclusive and practical recruitment process.
