KARGIL, October 19 — The Indian Army’s prestigious Fire and Fury Corps conducted a Drone Proficiency Competition in the Kargil sector, aimed at enhancing the conceptual understanding, night surveillance capabilities, and operational flying skills of military personnel deployed along the high-altitude frontier.
The competition provided soldiers with practical exposure to modern drone operations, allowing them to demonstrate exceptional flying skills, adaptability, and precision under challenging conditions. Officials said such exercises are critical for preparing troops to meet the evolving demands of modern warfare, particularly in the rugged and strategically sensitive terrains of Ladakh.
By integrating advanced technology with traditional operational training, the Fire and Fury Corps continues to strengthen its tactical edge while familiarising troops with emerging tools of reconnaissance and surveillance in border defence.
