Final Phase of Yountan Tablet Distribution Concludes at Tai Suru Zone

Kargil, October 4, 2025: The final phase of the Yountan Tablet Distribution Programme was successfully held today at KGBV Panikhar, marking the completion of tablet distribution across all education zones of Kargil district.

A total of 55 tablets were distributed among students of the Tai Suru Zone by Chief Education Officer Kargil, Mr. Sonam Wangchuk, under the ongoing initiative to enhance digital learning and access to educational resources.

The programme was attended by Zonal Education Officer Tai Suru, Mr. Mohd Hadi, ZEPO Mr. Feroz Ahmed, and Headmaster GHS Panikhar, Mr. Mohd Ali. Also present on the occasion were Mr. Ahmed Ali, Nodal Incharge Tablets, and Mr. Mohd Ali, UDISE Incharge.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Education Officer highlighted the importance of digital empowerment in today’s learning environment and encouraged students to use the tablets effectively for educational advancement.

Later, the Chief Education Officer visited High School Tangol, and Higher Secondary School Panikhar where he interacted with students and staff members, taking stock of the academic activities and infrastructure of the school.

With this event, the district successfully concludes the Yountan Tablet Distribution Programme across all educational zones, reaffirming the administration’s commitment to promoting digital inclusion and quality education in Kargil.
