FCS&CA market checking team inspects Leh, adjacent markets

Leh: The market checking team of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department (FCS&CA) Leh inspected shops of Leh market and its surrounding areas Thursday.

Around 20 shops have been inspected thoroughly in the Choglamsar & Shey area. Out of which 10 shops were imposed a fine of Rs 4,200 for keeping expired items.

A total fine of Rs 5,000 was collected from the defaulters. The over-dated items were destroyed on the spot.

Further, the Shopkeepers were warned to refrain from keeping of over-dated items at their shops failing which stern action will be initiated.
