Kargil: Staff members, students of PM Shri Government High School Thasgam, Drass, came together to organize a heartfelt farewell-cum-welcome ceremony in honour of the outgoing Headmaster, Mohd Saleem Lone and newly joined Headmaster, Haji Akbar Ali.

The event was marked with a blend of emotions a deep sense of gratitude towards the outgoing Headmaster and a warm welcome filled with hope and excitement for the new leadership.

Students and staff members expressed their sincere appreciation for Mohd Saleem Lone’s unwavering dedication, discipline, and significant contributions during his tenure. His leadership has left a lasting impression on the school community.

During the ceremony, heartfelt speeches, cultural performances poetry session, and words of appreciation highlighted the emotional bond shared between the outgoing Headmaster and the school.

Many students and teachers were visibly emotional as they bid farewell, reflecting on the positive impact he made on the institution.

At the same time, the school extended a warm and enthusiastic welcome to Haji Akbar Ali, who has recently taken charge as the new Headmaster.

The students and staff showed great excitement and optimism about the future under his leadership.

The event concluded with the exchange of good wishes and a collective commitment from all members of the school to continue working towards academic excellence and holistic development.
