Leh: The ‘Earth and Space Exploration Program: ESEP-2022’ first Crew kick started in Hanle on 10th July with a virtual inaugural function.

The function was attended by Dr. Siddharth, NASA , JPL; Dr. Daniella Scalice, NASA Astrobiology ; Dr. Jonathan Clarke, Mars Society Australia; Dr. Binita Phartiyal, BSIP, DST; Dr Sudha Rajamani, IISER Pune ; Dr Jennifer Blank, Blue Marble Space Institute of Science; Kunal Mehra, Cosmic Adventure; T. Tashi, Ladakh Science Foundation; Nawang Thinles, LSF; participants and many other dignitaries.

ESEP-2022 first Crew is being held from 11-17 July 2022 at Saboo, Tsokar, Tsomiriri & Hanle, Leh-Ladakh. Science researchers (Students) across the globe are participating in it. Three LSF Student members are also participating.

Scientists from India and abroad are mentoring the researchers such as Dr. Michael Macey, AstrobiologyOU, The Open University, UK; Dr. Annalea Beattie, Mars Society Australia, Dr. Renitta Jobby and Dr. Amir Khan, Amity University, Mumbai.

ESEP-2022 is being organized by Amity University, Mumbai and Cosmic Adventures. Ladakh Science Foundation (LSF) is an Education Partner of the program.

2nd Crew wi be held from 22nd -28th July and 3rd Crew from 1st to 7th August 2022.
Three seats are available in each batch. LSF invites the nomination from the interested science students (B.Sc, M.Sc, M.S, B.Tech, M.Tech, Ph.D etc) from Ladakh to participate in the above ESEP program.
