
EJM College Leh observes World Food Day
LEH: World Food Day was observed at EJM College Leh by department of Food Processing in collaboration with IQAC. Around 100 students participated in the event.
The first session of the event was marked by our guest speakers namely Dr. B.N. DAR (Sr. Asst. Prof/ Deptt. of Food Technology IUST J&K, Member Jemra (@WHO/@FAO) delivered the lecture on this year’s theme ‘water is food, water is life’ and Er. Shafat Khan (Asst. Prof-Food Plant OPS, College of Dairy and Food Technology Rajuvas Jaipur) delivered the lecture on ‘Future skills in food processing: preparing for industrial revolution 4.0.’
The 2nd session was marked by a collage competition and poster designing competition. Around 20 students participated in each competition. The best three in both the competitions were given the prizes.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks from Rinchen Angmo (Sr. Asst Prof and Convener, IQAC) and I/C Principal Dr. Yangchan Dolma. The program was coordinated by Er. Syed Junaid Rashid (Instructor Food Processing EJMC Leh).
