Leh, Oct 29: Administrative Secretary, School Education Department (SED) Bhanu Prabha chaired a comprehensive review meeting at the Chief Education Officer’s Office, Leh to assess the progress of various education schemes and initiatives across UT Ladakh.
The meeting was attended by the Director, SED, CEOs of Leh and Kargil, Principals of DIET Leh and Kargil, and the District Planning Officer, Leh.
The Secretary reviewed the expenditure under the Samagra Shiksha Scheme, discussed the co-location of Anganwadi Centres and Balvatikas in government schools, and evaluated the training status of wardens from Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Residential Hostels.
She also took stock of the ongoing remedial classes being conducted in high and higher secondary schools to improve learning outcomes.
