By selecting 80 deserving aspirants and providing each with financial assistance of ₹1.18 lakh for UPSC Prelims coaching, the administration has sent a clear signal: talent in Ladakh will not be limited by geography or economic barriers. An official from the Higher Education Department remarked, “Our aim is to ensure that every capable student in Ladakh has the resources and confidence to aspire for the highest civil services of the country.”
REWA 2.0 is more than a scholarship scheme; it is an investment in Ladakh’s future leadership. For a region seeking stronger representation in India’s administrative framework, such initiatives can be transformative.
