EC Zakir Hussain visits Govt Kargil Girls Hostel in Srinagar

KARGIL/ SRINAGAR: Accompanied by a team of officials from the district administration, Executive Councillor, LAHDC Kargil, Zakir Hussain, visited the Government Kargil Girls Hostel in Nowshera, Srinagar on Sunday.

During his visit, Hussain inspected the hostel facilities and interacted with the students and staff, and took stock of the various amenities available to the students, including the living quarters, dining hall, study room, and recreation facilities.

Executive Councillor Zakir Hussain also inquired about the academic performance of the students and the challenges they face. He assured the students that the administration would provide all necessary support to ensure their well-being and academic success.

Executive Councillor Zakir Hussain Speaking on the occasion, Hussain said that the government is committed to providing quality education to girls, especially those from remote and disadvantaged areas.

He said that hostels play a vital role in providing a safe and conducive environment for girls to pursue their education.

Executive Councillor Zakir Hussain also directed the hostel authorities to ensure that all necessary facilities are available to the students and that their needs are met promptly. The students and staff of the hostel expressed their gratitude to Executive Councillor Zakir Hussain for his visit and for his commitment to the welfare of girls. He assured to the students to fullfil all the demands within a short span of time.
