EC Punchok Tashi visits Zanskar

Kargil: Executive Councilor, Tourism, RD and Zanskar Affairs, Er Punchok Tashi today visited Zanskar Sub Division and paid a visited to Middle School Rangdum.

He was briefed that there are four teachers on duty and around 20 students with neat and clean uniform in the school. One more teacher has been posted recently by CEO Kargil.

The teachers requested that they may be relieved from the duty of BLO so that they are able to attend school every day as two of their teachers are assigned the duty of BLO and the school has no PTS and orderly. The EC assured that their request shall be taken up with the concerned department.

On way, EC Tashi visited Abran village where Lambardar and others extended a warm reception.

Executive Councilor along with Councilor Karsha Constituency Stanzin Jikmath also visited Higher Secondary School Phey where the Principal, staff, VEC and Lambardar Phey extended warm reception at their School.

The Principal expressed their gratitude to LAHDC Kargil and UT Administration for facilitating School Bus, construction of additional classrooms etc.

They further requested for creation of regular staff, salary and fuel for school bus as well as PA Aystem and Shamiyana for the school.

Councilor Karsha Constituency announced Rs 4 lakh out of his CCDA for the beautification of school and Executive Councilor promised PA system as well as Shamiyana for the school.

At Padum, the Executive Councilor was received at Tourist Dak Bungalow by all the HODs of Zanskar Sub Division lead by SDM Zanskar, Sonam Dorjay.

The Executive Councilor during his stay in Zanskar would visit and inspect various developmental activities being carried in Zanskar.
