Kargil: Executive Councilor, R&B (PWD), Mechanical, FCS&CA, Cooperative, Industries and Commerce Mubarak Shah visited Drass subdivision to take a first-hand assessment of flood-affected areas due to the sudden cloudburst on August 14.
Her accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Project Officer Wages Employment/ACD Kargil, Sub Divisional Magistrate Drass, Executive Engineer, PHE, 1&FC and Mechanical.

They visited several villages to take first-hand assessment of damages to public properties caused by sudden cloudburst followed by flash floods August 14.
They visited many villages including Bearas, Lamochan, Youlbo, Majid Gam, Prandrass, Frove, Gindiyal and Sukutiyal village to take an assessment of the damages.

During the visit of the flood-affected villages, the Executive Councilor directed the concerned officers to prepare necessary assessment report/estimate of the damaged public assets like Headwork of irrigation Canal and Khuls, Standing Crops, plantation and livestock etc. and ensure to submit the same report within three days positively for fiscal arrangement, so that the restoration work could be started at the earliest. The EC also directed PHE Department to arrange a water tank for the affected families.
