Kargil: Executive Councilor, Works, LAHDC, Kargil, Mubarak Shah Naqvi Wednesday chaired a Block level meeting at Conference Hall, Dak Bungalow, Drass to discuss several issues pertaining to the sub division.
Incharge SDM Drass, SHO Drass, AEE PDD, JE Civil R&B-II, JE PDD, JE, AE Civil (GREEF) Incharge ARC Cooperative, Panchayat Secretary, Incharge Forester, PRI’s, representatives of Merchants Association Drass and other officials attended meeting.
During the meeting, the EC took a detailed review from concerned officers regarding the progress of developmental works in various villages of sub-division Drass.
The EC Naqvi inquired about the expenditure from the Panchayat Secretary and was informed that 264 shops and hotels have been registered till date. He directed the concerned officers to work with coordination so that the problems faced by the public are eased.
It was informed that a cleanliness drive will be held on Sunday in coordination with Police Department, GREEF, Merchant Association and other executing to make Drass clean and green.
The Executive Councilor directed the Merchant Association Drass to use their own vehicles until a proper meeting with the Assistant Commissioner Development is held.
During the meeting, Naqvi also enquired about the stock of Cooperative Department, Plantation Drive of Forest Department and Traffic Management from the SHO.
The PRIs urged the EC for the restoration of street lights, resumption of Heavy Moving Vehicles from 3 to 4 p.m. in view of the movement of school children and other minor issues. The EC directed the concerned for necessary action at the earliest.
Naqvi also informed the portal for making new ration card and updation of old is live and urged the people of Drass to avail the benefit and also assured to provide a team at Block level to make ration cards hassle-free.
