Kargil, Ladakh: A three-day Advanced Laparoscopic Gynaecology Surgery Camp was inaugurated at District Hospital Kurbathang, organized by the AL-Reza Health Care and Research Foundation, the health wing of Jamiat-Ul-Ulama Isna Ashria Kargil, in collaboration with the Department of Health, UT Ladakh.
The camp was inaugurated by Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr. Fatima Nissa, alongside Dr. Usha Kiran, a globally acclaimed laparoscopic surgeon from Prime Hospital, Dubai.
Dr. Kiran said she felt “blessed to serve women in the frontier region” and described the initiative as her way of giving back to the nation.
Dr. Mohd Abbass, President of the AL-Reza Foundation, expressed gratitude to Dr. Kiran for sharing her expertise, noting that her contribution would significantly enhance the skills of local medical professionals.
The camp offers screening, consultations, and laparoscopic surgeries for women patients and has been hailed as a significant boost to women’s healthcare in Kargil.
