Leh: Dorjay Namgyal, ABVP District Convenor and former President of Ladakh University, is participating in the Students’ Experience in Inter-State Living (SEIL) Tour being held from November 5 to 20, 2025.
The SEIL programme, a flagship national integration initiative of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), aims to promote cultural understanding and strengthen the spirit of national unity among youth. The tour offers students an opportunity to experience the diverse traditions, lifestyles and cultures of various states through educational visits, cultural exchanges and home stays with host families.
Launched in 1965, the initiative has played a key role in building bonds of understanding, particularly between the North-East and the rest of the country, under the motto “One Nation – One People – One Culture.” Each year, students from across India participate in the tour, engaging in dialogue, cultural performances and interactions with local communities.
The 2025 edition of SEIL includes visits to multiple states, where participants will take part in academic, cultural and social exchange programmes. Namgyal’s participation highlights the increasing involvement of Ladakhi youth in national integration efforts and provides a platform to showcase Ladakh’s rich cultural identity.
Speaking about the initiative, Namgyal said SEIL offers young students a meaningful space to appreciate India’s diversity. “It is an honour to represent Ladakh and learn from the experiences of students across different regions,” he said.
The SEIL tour continues to stand as a living example of unity in diversity, fostering lifelong friendships and a deeper appreciation of India’s cultural fabric.
