Leh: Sharply reacting to the remarks of president of Congress Mallikarjun Kharge, the Member of Parliament, Ladakh Jamyang Tsering Namgyal said that Prime Minister of India not only listened but also fulfilled the aspirations of long pending demand of Ladakh of a separate Union Territory to preserve the fragile ecosystem, rich tradition and cultural heritages etc

“Mallikarjun Kharge Ji, we know that Ladakh doesn’t exist in the political map of Indian National Congress as your party divided Ladakh into 4 parts and given the 3 parts to China and Pakistan i.e. #AksaiChin #ShaksgamValley and #PoK. Now, please don’t teach us how to make Ladakh safer and stronger,” reads the Facebook post of JTN.

“Narendra Modi Ji is the only Prime Minister since India’s independence who not only listened but also fulfilled the aspirations of long pending demand of Ladakh of a separate Union Territory to preserve the fragile ecosystem, rich tradition and cultural heritages etc,” it reads.

He further added in the post that the Prime Minister  has looked into the overall and sustainable development to strengthen the India’s National Security in the strategic border region.

“Currently we are witnessing the most revolutionary development in Ladakh whether it be Telecommunication, Roads, Tunnels, Bridges, Air Services, Educational & Health Institutions, Organic Agriculture, Quality Tourism, 24×7 electricity and Har Ghar Nal Se Jal etc,” he said

He added Narendra Modi Ji is also leading us with the very broad vision to make “Carbon Natural Ladakh” to safe the very fragile ecosystem of Ladakh and our government has recently notified “Ladakh Sustainable & Eco-friendly Industrial Policy” to make Ladakh economically stronger alongwith preserving the fragile ecosystem of the Himalayas.

“Modi Sarkar has also constituted High Powered Committee of all the stakeholders including leaders of Buddhist, Muslim, National Conference and Congress Party to discuss and deliberate the other concerns of the people of Ladakh. We believe that under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Modi Ji, Ladakh will become one of the most vibrant and model UT of India very soon,” he said.

He added that the Since India’s Independence, Congress led Governments has deceitfully betrayed not only the people of Ladakh by keeping us very backward, unheard and ignored in every aspects despite making tall promises in every elections but also betrayed the nation by giving the 40ksqkm Aksai Chin land to China, PoK to Pakistan.

“Congress Party and it’s leadership kept no stone unturned to exploit the eco-sensitive Himalayan glaciers of Ladakh by using Diesel Generators in every nook and corners of eco-sensitive Ladakh to electrify villages only for 2 to 3 hrs a day,” he said.

Earlier taking jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for “betraying” the people of Ladakh,  Kharge said that PM Modi’s government had made “tall promises” and yet failed to provide constitutional protection to citizens.
