Doctors in Leh remove abdominal tumor weighing 3.94 Kg from elderly man

Leh: A team of doctors at SNM Leh, Monday removed abdominal tumor weighing 3.94 Kg from 70 years old high risk patient.

A team of doctors led by Dr Padma Deskit, Consultant Surgeon and assisted by Dr Stanzin Dolkar, Consultant Gynaecologist, Dr Morup, Senior Consultant, Anesthesia and Dr Gyalpo, Surgeon has successfully removed 3.94 Kg abdominal tumor from a 70 years old high risk patient having multiple comorbidities.

It’s rare that such a huge tumor has ever been removed at a District level hospital.
