District Congress Committee Leh holds press conference

Leh: District Congress Committee Leh held a press conference raising several demands and seeking redressal.

The Committee requested GOI to concede the demands raised by Apex Body and KDA. And immediately call them for talks.

The demand for 6Th scheduled should be a non – negotiable demand, which is the only provision in the constitution, which vests all powers for safe guarding jobs, culture, environment in the elected, democratic, participatory body unlike the provision under Article 371, the Congress leaders said.

The current governance system in Ladakh UT where bureaucracy runs the roost has No participation of public, nor any elected representative. Hence, undemocratic , non participatory, non-aspirational, bureaucratic and dictatorial.
