Leh: The administration of Ladakh has appointed a director Rural Development Department and Panchayati Raj (RDD&PR) as nodal officer for the achievement of Localization of Sustainable Development Goals (LSDGs) in Panchayats of Union territory.

As per the order issued by the Commissioner Secretary, Saugat Biswas the Nodal Officer will formulate the State Plan of Action on LSDGs in coordination with members of Core Committee for mainstreaming Localization of Sustainable Development Goals (LSOGs) in rural areas through PRIs.
“Sanction Is hereby accorded to the appointment of the Director, Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Ladakh as Nodal Officer in respect of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj Department for the achievement of Localization of Sustainable Development Goals (LSDGs) in Panchayats of Union territory of Ladakh,” the order reads.
The order further reads that the Nodal Officer will issue instructions/advisories regarding LSOGs down the brie and formulate the State Plan of Action on LSOGs in coordination with members of Core Committee for mainstreaming Localization of Sustainable Development Goals (LSOGs) rural areas through PRIs.
