The District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Leh has launched a Winter Training Programme on English Teaching Skills and Lab Integration for Class VIII teachers, aligned with CBSE Poorvi textbooks, to strengthen classroom practices across Ladakh.
The programme has brought together 60 teachers from six educational zones, including Nyoma, Durbuk and Nubra, divided into two batches. The training began on January 27, 2026 with active participation from DIET faculty and RTT-certified indigenous trainers—Stanzin Odzer, Sonam Palden and Tundup Namgyal.
Addressing the inaugural session, Mirza Mehdi, Principal, DIET Leh, appreciated Golden Mile Learning for its academic support and effective implementation under the RTT–TTT Programme, an initiative of LAHDC Leh led by Dr Neepa Oza.
The training focuses on English pedagogy, CBSE Poorvi textbook integration, and lab-based teaching, aiming to build a strong ecosystem of locally trained, professionally certified teacher-trainers to enhance long-term academic outcomes in the region.
