LEH: District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW), Leh under Mission Shakti, in collaboration with SBI Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI), successfully concluded a 12-day (90-hour) National Skills Qualification certified Baking Course on April 30, 2025.
A total of 19 women participated in the training program, which was held from April 17 to April 30. The felicitation program for the baking course was held on 15th May 15, 2025, to honour the achievements of the participants
During the programme, participants were awarded certificates by RSETI, and baking tools were distributed by DHEW, Mission Shakti, to support their entrepreneurial journey.
The participants also demonstrated their newfound skills and techniques learned during the training by displaying their baked goods.
Kunzang Angmo, Gender Specialist, addressed the gathering and highlighted various schemes under Mission Shakti aimed at empowering women.
She emphasized the role of skill development in generating employment and expressed commitment to continuing the collaboration with RSETI to provide more such opportunities for women in the future.
This initiative marks a significant step toward fostering self-reliance and economic independence among women in the region.
