Khaltse In a significant step towards strengthening police infrastructure and community engagement, Director General of Police (DGP) Ladakh, Dr. S.D. Singh Jamwal (IPS), inaugurated the newly constructed G-3 jawan barracks and Type III residential quarters at Khaltse Police Station.
The inauguration ceremony was also attended by SSP Leh Shriti Arora (IPS) and Syed Tayoub Bukhari. The event witnessed the presence of several prominent local representatives, including Tsewang Stobdan, Sham President of the Numberdar Association; Tsering Tsomo, Sham Women President of the Ladakh Buddhist Association (LBA); along with ex-servicemen, police personnel, numberdars, and members of the Ama Tsogspa from the Sham region.
Around 50 students from Government Higher Secondary School Khaltse were also present at the event. DGP Dr. Jamwal and SSP Shriti Arora took the opportunity to interact with the students and local residents, patiently listening to their concerns and grievances.
This gesture highlighted their commitment to community-oriented policing and inclusive development.
SHO Khaltse Jamyang Namgyal, along with the staff of Khaltse Police Station, were also present and actively supported the smooth conduct of the event.
