LEH: Chairman, CEC, LAHDC Leh, Advocate Tashi Gyalson was called on by the Durbuk delegation, led by Executive Councillor Tashi Namgyal Yakzee, Nambardar Durbuk Nawang Namgyal, and and members from Pun-Pun, Laga, Rellay, Eaching, Shayok and surrounding areas.

The delegation extended their gratitude to the CEC for his continued support so far and especially thanked him for the decision to open Galwan Valley for tourism, which they believe will boost local livelihoods and economic growth.

They also requested his intervention with the army to ensure smooth functioning in the region and priority for local residents in upcoming infrastructure projects.

The CEC assured them of his continued support to the region’s development.

Meanwhile, Chairman, CEC, LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson, warmly welcomed and felicitated Brigadier Rahul Oberoi, Chief Engineer Project VIJAYAK.

Colonel Rishabh Jain, Commander of the 16 BRTF, was also present during the meeting.

The officials had a discussion on ongoing BRO projects in the Leh and Kargil districts, emphasizing efforts to enhance connectivity and infrastructure development in the region.

Brigadier Rahul Oberoi expressed his gratitude to the CEC for the warm welcome and reaffirmed his commitment to working diligently for the welfare and progress of Ladakh.

The CEC in the presence of DC, CEO, Santosh Sukhadeve, was called on by the delegation of LBA Sham unit led by Photang Construction Committee Chairman and former Councillor Tsering Morup, LBA Sham Secretary Tsering Chosphel; Vice President Tsering Angchuk and Tsering Samphel.

The delegation requested support for Construction of Photang at Zer Thang Khaltse. Additionally, in light of a future plan to invite His Holiness the 41st Sakya Trizin Kyabgon Gongma Trichen Rinpoche to Khaltse, the delegation discussed the importance of preparing for the visit in the coming years.

The delegation also emphasized the need to raise awareness camps about government schemes and benefits available and requested assistance in facilitating these initiatives.

The CEC assured the necessary assistance for the request made. The delegation also extended their heartfelt gratitude to the council for its unwavering support so far in various initiatives.
