Delegation of Nursing Orderly, Safaiwala call on LG Mishra

Leh: A delegation comprising Nursing Orderly and Safaiwala led by Tsering Dolma called on the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd), at Raj Niwas. Deputy Secretary, Zakir Hussain, was present in the meeting.

Dolma informed the LG that they have been working in the Health Department on contractual basis as Nursing Orderly and Safaiwala since 2009. She also informed that two doctors and one safaiwala were regularised in 2006 when their case was put up to the Health and Medical Education Department, J&K.

She further informed that their regularisation case was in the final stage before Ladakh became a union territory.

Dolma informed that their cases were not considered for regularisation and requested LG’s intervention for the regularisation of their services.

Deputy Secretary, Zakir Hussain informed the LG that a meeting will be held on September 4 in which their cases along with several other cases will be discussed.

The LG instructed Zakir Hussain to look into their case and take a decision within the rules and laws.
