Leh: A delegation from Chamtse Mental Health & Social Service, led by its President, Dr. Padma Angmo, and Vice President, Phunchok Angchuk along with other members, called on Chairman, CEC, LAHDC Leh, Advocate Tashi Gyalson, to discuss the need for enhanced mental health services and social welfare programs in Ladakh.
During the meeting, the delegation apprised the CEC of the NGO’s efforts in providing holistic care for individuals with mental illness.
They presented a video documentary showcasing their work and emphasized the urgent need for long-stay homes and rehabilitation centers for such patients.
CEC, Advocate Tashi Gyalson, assured the delegation of the Council’s full support and assistance in strengthening mental health services and related social welfare initiatives in the region.
