
Delegation from Project Vijayak calls on LG Mishra
Leh: A delegation from Project Vijayak led by its Chief Engineer, Brigadier Vinay Bahl, called on the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd), at Raj Niwas on Friday.
Member of Parliament from Ladakh, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal; Secretary, PWD, Michael D’Souza and Chief Engineer, PWD, Tashi Chombel were present in the meeting.
Brigadier Bahl apprised the LG of the various ongoing projects in Ladakh being implemented by Project Vijayak, viz. the construction of roads and tunnels for better connectivity in Ladakh along with the four-laning of Nimmo-Leh Road. He requested the LG for necessary approval for completing the pending work of the ongoing projects in Ladakh.
The LG commended Project Vijayak led by Brigadier Vinay Bahl for various infrastructure development projects in Ladakh.
He stated that all the infrastructure development projects will support defence forces and are in the interest of national security, for which the Administration should provide all necessary assistance, wherever possible, for the early completion of these projects and instructed Secretary PWD to give approval to the project works.
