LEH: Deputy Commissioner Leh and Chairperson District Mineral Foundation Trust (DMFT), Santosh Sukhadeve today chaired a meeting to review the utilization of the DMFT funds which is the 10 percent of revenue realized from the minor mineral extractions in the district.

During the meeting, the DC reviewed all the cases with the members of the District Mineral Foundation Trust which included purchase of school buses for Education Department, purchase of Mahindra Bolero for JNV School, library books, construction of local washroom at Partapur, He also instructed to complete the pending cases at the soonest.

During the meeting, the DC reviewed various cases with DMFT members, including the purchase of school buses for Education Department, a Mahindra Bolero for JNV School, library books, and construction of local washroom at Partapur school, purchase of machineries for SHG at Phobrang, purchase of computer at Sumoor among others cases. The DC Leh also instructed officials to complete pending cases as soon as possible.

New proposals including requirement of books for Entrance Examniation at far flung areas, computer lab for Imamia school, procuring a 4X4 Ambulance for SNM hospital specially for winter use, Sports Equipment, requirement of furniture at Demchok were also reviewed during the meeting.

The DC instructed the members to assess their requirements to process the proposal further.

The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer Leh, Deputy Director District Motor Garages Leh, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Education Officer, District Mineral Officer and other officials and members of DMFT.
