DC Santosh chairs meeting on implementation of ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ initiative

LEH: Deputy Commissioner, Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve chaired a meeting Saturday to discuss the implementation of the ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ initiative at VC room.

During the meeting, Deputy Director, Nehru Yuva Kendra, Leh apprised the DC Leh about the various initiatives taken by Nehru Yuva Kendra in Leh. She informed that NYK in collaboration with ITBP has organised various mega programs and rallies in Leh with a good number of participation from villagers, students, and PRI members.

Discussing the Amrit Kalash Yatras second phase, she informed that Mitti and rice grains are being collected from villages and wards.

Besides, she briefed about the campaign features programs like the establishment of Shilaphalakams, Panch Pran Pledge, Vasudha Vandan, Veeron ka Vandan among others.

DC Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve directed the Assistant Commissioner Development, Leh to organise events at block level and also asked to submit the photos of the block to Deputy Director, NYK Leh to upload on the portal.

Directions were also given to organise events at Panchayats and asked to involve school students and VLWs in the initiative.

Also, asked to collect soil or mitti from houses in panchayats. Furthermore, he also directed the ADC Leh to give instruction to the BDOs to organise events at block levels.

The meeting was attended by ADDC, Leh; Executive Officer, Municipal Committee, Leh and Nodal Officer of MMMD of ITBP Ladakh.
