Leh: In preparation for the upcoming Kargil Vijay Diwas commemoration, Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC Leh, Romil Singh Donk, chaired a crucial coordination meeting to review and streamline arrangements for the event scheduled on July 26 at 9:00 AM at Singge Namgyal Chowk.
The Deputy Commissioner issued clear instructions to the concerned departments to ensure that all preparations are completed well in time, emphasizing the significance of the occasion in honouring the bravery and sacrifice of Indian soldiers during the 1999 Kargil War.
Key aspects discussed during the meeting included venue readiness, seating and sofa arrangements, carpet layout, decoration, and the deployment of around 10 NCC cadets. The setup of a sound system and other logistical details were also reviewed to ensure a seamless and dignified ceremony.
The meeting witnessed participation from top officials including the Chief Education Officer, Leh; Assistant Director, Tourism; Assistant Director, DIPR; Executive Officer, Municipal Committee; Executive Engineer, PHE, and the President of the Ex-Servicemen Association, Leh.
