Leh: Deputy Commissioner Leh, Romil Singh Donk (IAS), convened a review meeting on July 10 at the VC Room of the DC Office to assess the implementation and progress of the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan across all blocks of Leh district.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Sonam Norbu, who conducted a detailed review of the campaign’s status and progress. He directed all Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) to ensure that their respective Child Development Project Officers (CDPOs)—as the designated nodal officers—regularly update scheme data on the official portal, complete with photographs.
During the review, it was noted that 67 outreach camps have already been conducted in the district. These camps played a pivotal role in spreading awareness among the local populace and extending benefits under various schemes, including the Golden Card, health card, domicile certificates, PM Vishwakarma Yojana, financial literacy programs, and other welfare initiatives.
The ADDC instructed that remaining villages be covered within the stipulated timeframe, ensuring no eligible beneficiaries are left out.
Deputy Commissioner Donk also emphasized the need for enhanced TB screening under the “Month of Compassion” initiative, alongside continued awareness programs under the Ujjwala Abhiyan. Furthermore, he instructed SDMs to identify schemes showing zero data entries under the Dharti Aaba Abhiyan in their jurisdiction and give them top priority, ensuring timely portal updates with photographic evidence.
The meeting was attended in person by ADDC Leh Sonam Norbu, Assistant Commissioner Development A.G. Zargar, CPO Tsewang Gyalson, CMO Leh, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Executive Officer MC Leh, Lead Bank Manager, and other concerned officers. All Sub-Divisional Magistrates participated through video conferencing.
